Pyranha kayaks has confirmed that their 9rII (9R2) will be produced from around the end of March, which means it should be in the shops from around mid to late April (later if you are not in the UK).
They’ve aimed to make it more of everything the original was – more fun, more fast and just generally better. This is the black boat in the photos
Interestingly they produced a prototype that did not make it all the way – with a mould costing over $10k that is an expensive mistake! They found that it was just too race focused – but maybe that paves the way for a 9r race version in the future? This is the more conventional orange and yellow boat in the photos.
